I am an overwhelmingly loved child of God, an extremely blessed wife, a mommy of four wonderfully made children, a thankful woman surrounded by many friendships that have made my heart full. God is good... ALL the time.

My Girls!!!!

I LOVE being a mommy to three girls!  They are so fun, so precious, and so loving!!!
I love that they are so close in age and I am excited that they will have each other and can be friends forever! :)

These are some of my favorite pictures of them together!  They fight like sisters do but they are also so very close and love each other so very much!  The last two pictures are from this Easter so they are very new.  (left to right)  Trinity is 7, Sophia is 4, and Arianna is 5.  I know Sophia is taller then Arianna but Arianna is 11 months older.  They just melt my heart!

Being Organized and Keeping a Schedule...

I have always been HORRIBLE about keeping things organized... and keeping a schedule... FORGET IT!  But since I started homeschooling I have actually enjoyed doing both.  I still have my days/weeks where I get off track but I have found that my life is easier the more I keep up with everything.  Being a Mommy of four I have had to learn that if I don't keep things going, organized, and on schedule then NO ONE will! :)  I want to have responsible children that take care of their things and pick up after themselves but in order to teach that, I have to be that way too.  I am the #1 example that they see.
I wanted to share a few things that have helped me on the journey to be scheduled and organized.  I definitely haven't perfected it and NEVER will but things have been so much better.

#1.  Pray about it and ask God to help you.  God will give us strength and energy to get things done.  He also gives us the patience and the best reason to be better!  I want to show God that I am thankful for this home he has given me and all the things in our home.  In the past I was horrible at showing Him how thankful I was for His blessings.  Keeping things smooth, clean, organized, and taking care of your things is a huge way you can thank Him daily!
#2.  Getting my house in order- closets, shelves, every area of my house (seen or not seen)
It may not always be perfectly clean but everything has a place now and daily/weekly I walk around and make sure they are in there place.  When you 'let it go' it builds up and then you get overwhelmed.  Also when you decide to organize, don't do the entire house at once.  Do one closet/room at a time. Don't get overwhelmed or you will give up. (I used to).
#3.  I remember another very important reason I want to keep things organized and clean.  Because my girls watch me.  They see the things I do.  I knew that but didn't know really how much until I started being better at it.  One day my seven year old, Trinity came to me and she said, "Mommy, I want to be better about keeping our room clean."  I said, "Well, that is a very good thing but what made you think about that?"  She said, "Because you keep our whole house clean and you do everything for us.  I want to do that like you do."  My heart melted.  I had been praying that my girls would notice the things I do (not so I would get 'praise' or attention) but so they would learn.  I want them to see me as a godly mom and wife so they will know what kind of mom and wife to be someday.  I also asked her if she knew why I did those things and then explained what I said in #1. That I want to show God how thankful I am for what he has blessed our family with.  What a wonderful opportunity that was for me!
#4.  This is actually my 2nd reason or motivation (after God), My hubby!  I want him to have a 'safe place', a nice, comfortable place to come home to.  It is because of him that I get to be a stay at home/homeschooling mom.  He leaves the house and take care of things outside the home so that we have a home so I want to make a place for him to relax.  I don't want him to have to worry about the household chores or if he has a clean work shirt. (sometimes I do get behind still, like I said I am not perfect) but I definitely do better then I used to.  It is a constant job but it is a rewarding one!

Thank you for reading!  I have missed blogging and I am excited about some ideas I have to blog about in the future! :)  HoPe EvErYoNe has a GrEaT Saturday!

School in the Dining Room! :)

I am soooo thankful that God has given us this house for us to live in. I am very content here and I do love this home we have made so I don't want this to sound negative. That being said, we do have four very fast growing children, we live in a 3 bedroom home and we homeschool. I am so thankful that my hubby allows me to keep our homeschool things in the dining room and living room since we do school at the dining room table (mostly). I have been trying really hard to make it a good place to have school but at the same time make sure it is 'cute' and feels comfy and like a 'home' not a classroom. I found this kids calendar at a thrift store here in Springfield and I was very excited! It was like brand new and was only $4! Also this HUGE marker board, thrift store for $4! I was so excited. I painted the outside of the marker board so it looked 'cuter'. :) And then put some other things around it to make it feel more like decoration. We have our chores chart on this marker board and I write verses and other things for school. And to the right of the marker board I have a time schedule. I like it because it also has the clocks on the side to put the time, it helps when you are teaching them to read a clock. (found that at the Dollar Tree.)
I love our new calendar, the girls do too. they can get up on our stool and put the numbers on themselves. They actually love calendar time. I also have something for the month and the weather above it.
These are just some ideas for trying to make your home a home but also homeschool in the same spaces! I have been trying really hard to make our home both things. Keeping organized isn't easy but I have learned that it is easier to try and keep it that way when you work on it then letting everything go crazy! I used to never be organized about anything really. I have enjoyed this new me! ;) lol.

Book Picnic

We had a 'Book Picnic' this week! SO FUN! We filled our minds and imaginations instead of our tummys. It was fun until the girls found out ants were taking over there books and then the picnic moved to the table outside. :)
They really enjoyed there new books. It is so fun to watch them!
Sweet kiddos!

House/Purse I made for my niece Baby B.

A new tradition-I have 7 sisters (including step and in-law) so who know how many nieces and nephews I will end up having!:) I decided to make it a tradition to get them old books for holidays and there birthdays.
This Easter I also made Baby B. a pretty House/Purse to hold pictures of some of her favoritest people that love her sooo much!
